Lucia invites the reader into her home, where she shows us the living room where she makes blanket forts, the kitchen where she helps her mother cook, the patio where she plays with her cousins, and her brother’s room and her own room where they laugh together. Lucia describes her beautiful family and all the fun things they do together!

I love the way this book explores two different cultures and how they blend together in one big crazy family. Lucia has family in Puerto Rico and in Spain, and all her cousins and aunts and grandparents come to visit. The text is mostly in English with many words and phrases in Spanish.

Elephant uses his long nose to help the other animals, but Hippo keeps reminding everyone that Elephant’s nose is “not normal.” One day Baby Hippo goes wandering toward the lake, and the animals rush to save Baby Hippo from the lake crocodiles. Is there a way that Elephant’s long nose could help? Will Hippo ever stop teasing Elephant about his long nose?

I loved this sweet book! It has such positive messages of acceptance and love. Even if someone is different or “abnormal”, they deserve our respect and kindness. And you never know, someday you might need their help.

I was especially impressed with the positive messages of forgiveness from Elephant himself. He never tries to retaliate or get revenge on Hippo. It’s such a simple story, but this book has a powerful message!

El mono los invita a trepar a los árboles, el cocodrilo los invita a chapotear en el agua, la cebra los invita a bailar, el hipopótamo los deja levantar pesas con él, y el tigre los invita a jugar en la cama elástica. Cuando regresan a casa, la niña le cuenta a su abuela sobre su increíble día, pero la abuela no le cree, ¡hasta que todos los animales se presentan a cenar en la casa!

¡Este es un libro tan lindo! Durante la mayor parte de la historia, pensé que la niña y su abuelo solo estaban fingiendo hacer cosas con los animales, ¡así que fue una sorpresa divertida cuando todo resultó ser verdad!

Me encantó la dulce historia de este libro. ¡El pequeño búho es tan lindo! Este es un gran libro para leer en voz alta y la historia es divertida.

Este cómic cuenta tres historias tradicionales de Latinoamerica sobre varitas mágicas, dragones, tontas amas de casa, y terceros hijos perezosos.

Me encanta la estructura tradicional de los cuentos de hadas y los giros imaginativos que toman las historias. Cada historia tiene elementos emocionantes y cierta repetición al igual que las historias tradicionales. Y, por supuesto, hay una lección moral al final. Las historias mantuvieron mi atención y aprecié los personajes interesantes que encajan en los roles de los viejos cuentos de hadas.

This cute board book asks the reader, Who is hiding there? The illustrations first show an ocean creature covering their eyes to play peekaboo, then when you lift the flap you can see them diving through the seas or digging through the sand.

This is such a sweet book! I love that it is bilingual in Spanish and English for little readers who are learning two languages. The flaps are very sturdy to withstand the destruction of little hands. I love the adorable art and the bright colors! Every page is charming and fun!
