Little Owl falls out of the nest, and a friendly Squirrel tries to help him find his mother. Little Owl says that his mother is BIG, and Squirrel thinks the bear must be his mother. Little Owl says that his mother has pointy ears, and Squirrel thinks that the rabbit must be his mother. Little Owl says that his mother has big eyes, and the Squirrel thinks that the frog must be his mother. Can they find Mother Owl?

I loved the sweet story in this book. Little Owl is so cute! This is such a great book to read out loud, and the story is funny.

The illustrations are simple and brightly colored, but they have a certain charm that is very attractive. I like the emotional style of the art, and the way you can feel the movement and action in each scene.

A girl explores the marketplace in India, finding food and items from every color. She is searching for the perfect gift for her Amma. Should she choose green herbs, red chiles, pink candies, white lotus flowers, or an orange terracotta vase? In the end, she chooses a special gift from every color of the rainbow!

This story is really interesting, as the reader gets to explore the market and learn about the exotic things for sale there. The little girl is sweet, and she notices little details around the market that make it an immersive experience. Everything is so vibrant and fascinating!

I love the beautiful illustrations in this book! You can almost smell the delicious spices in the market, and feel the wind, and the hear the bustle and the music. Every scene is full of movement and color.
