I love the cute illustrations and the bright colors in the art. Each hippo is jolly and ludicrous and priceless fun. They wear tiny bathing suits to show off their bellies. They wear sunglasses to look cool. They eat grapes, watch the waves, and take a little nap. Adorable.

I love everything about this sweet little board book, but the best thing is the dedication which says “A very serious book”. Haha! Perfect.

The illustrations are very sweet, and I love the bright and simple art style. The drawings show the puppy baking, dancing, playing, and jumping. The mother swings her little child up in the air, and gives lots of hugs and kisses.
