Squirrel Has Trouble Saying No

Squirrel has a plan to go deep into the forest and find some blueberries to make special cookies. Just as she is setting out, a friend drops by needing a favor, so Squirrel postpones her blueberry gathering for a little while. But then another friend and another friend all come to Squirrel needing babysitting, help with math homework, or advice on planting flowers. By the end of the day, Squirrel has said yes to all her friends needs, but at the cost of her own plans.

The story is fun and interesting! I love that they include important moral messages about having the courage to politely say no. But it doesn’t slow down the pace of the story. It’s excellent story-telling and is sure to capture the attention of little readers!

The illustrations are so cute! I love the beautiful woodland scenery and the cute animal characters. Every page is colorful and pretty!

Ardilla tiene un plan para explorar en el bosque y encontrar algunos arándanos para hacer galletas especiales. Pero llega un amigo que necesita un favor, por lo que Ardilla pospone su recolección de arándanos por un tiempo. Pero luego, otro amigo y otro amigo llegan a la casa de Ardilla y necesitan que los cuiden sus ninos, que los ayuden con la tarea de matemáticas o que los aconsejen para plantar flores. Al final del día, Ardilla ha dicho que sí a todas las necesidades de sus amigos, pero a costa de sus propios planes.

¡La historia es divertida e interesante! Me encanta que incluyan importantes mensajes morales acerca de tener el coraje de decir que no de forma cortés. Pero no frena el ritmo de la historia. ¡Es una narración excelente y seguramente captará la atención de los pequeños lectores!

¡Las ilustraciones son tan lindas! Me encanta el hermoso paisaje boscoso y los simpáticos personajes animales. ¡Cada página es colorida y bonita!
