Kind Kids: 50 Activites for Compassion, Confidence & Community (Barefoot Books Activity Decks)
by Dr. Helen Maffini, Whitney Stewart
5 out of 5 stars
This deck of cards gives different activities for children to do to learn to be kind to themselves and to others. You can reach out to your family, your friends, and your whole community with small but meaningful gestures of love and compassion.
You can be kind to yourself by eating well, having good hygiene, and getting plenty of sleep. You can be kind to your neighbors and friends by saying something nice, showing patience and forgiveness, making a meal together, and looking out for little ways to help each other.
You can thank a community helper like a policeman for what they do to serve your community. You can help nature by feeding the birds or planting flowers for the bees. Gratitude and kindness can go a long way!
I really liked the art work included on each card. The activities encourage you to think carefully about how you can show kindness to the people around you. I love the positive messages of love and caring in these cards! It’s such a great way to teach children about being compassionate and generous.
