Christmas, Here I Come!
by D.J. Steinberg, Laurie Stansfield
This cute book has a different poem on each page celebrating Christmas traditions and wintery activities. Depending on where you are in the world, you can go sledding in the snow or sun bathe at the beach. No matter what language you speak, “Pere Noel” or “Sinterklaus” or “Kanakaloka” is sure to come down the chimney with toys and gifts.
This book is packed with good food, Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, ugly Christmas sweaters, carols, twinkle lights, and warm cups of cocoa. Santa and his elves are working hard to be prepared for Christmas Day! There is even a page of stickers at the back of the book!
I loved the cute illustrations! Every page is full of Christmas magic and smiling faces. (Except the one page about fruitcake where a little girl is not smiling. Haha!)
The poetry is really good! And I am picky about poetry, so when I say it is good… it is really enjoyable and well-written! I was laughing and chuckling for several of the funny poems. This is such a heart-warming book!
