The Dragon has a toothache and he is crying and wailing so loudly that the Princess hears him. She takes him home to the castle to teach him about eating healthy foods and brushing his teeth. But this Dragon needs a serious education about hygiene! The Dragon stays at the castle and learns about the importance of good clean habits. He learns to clean his new room, take a shower, get exercise, and go to bed on time. In the end he is a happier and healthier Dragon!
This is such a great book to teach young children about building good habits! The format is partly a fairy tale story and partly instructions about hand washing and healthy diet and exercise. The Princess is kind but strict about the rules of the castle. She won’t let the Dragon sit around. She’s going to whip him into shape!
I love the cute illustrations! The artwork is really colorful and fun. The design for the Dragon is fantastic, and he is so funny when he gets into trouble for being lazy or untidy. The Princess looks pretty and sweet, but she is also fiercely determined. The art does an excellent job of showing their personalities through their facial expressions.
