Yoga Adventure!
by Jamaica Stevens, Roco Alejandro (Illustrations), Jamaroo Kids (Performance)
Children go on a journey around the world, visiting different animals and doing yoga poses in exotic locations. First we do a plane pose to travel to a new continent. Then we do a warrior pose with bison, and bicycle to a new place where we meet chinchilla doing happy baby pose. We stretch like grey wolves, pandas, frogs, and koalas. We sail the seven seas and hop on board a train.
I really loved this yoga book for children! It’s so interesting and fun to see all the different animals. There is even a yoga song at the back of the book, and you can follow the link to sing along! There are also further instructions about each yoga pose at the back of the book, so that you can be sure you are doing the pose correctly and safely.
The illustrations are really colorful and every page is full of energy. I like that the artwork shows a lot of diverse children, and each child has a different ability with the yoga poses. Some children are very flexible, some are strong, some prefer gentle poses. It’s such a positive message about accepting your body where you are!
