Black Out Poetry
Here are 3 poems I wrote using the “black-out” writing technique! They are all about how we feel pressured in life… by society, by work, by education. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Books in the Wild: Forest Edition
Join me in the forest as we hunt down some wild books in their own natural habitats! We’ll see the nests of some native books, the STAMPEDE of a vicious herd, and search for an elusive and exotic book!
All the characteristics of each book in some way references the contents, i.e. if a book is said to be shy, then the characters are difficult to get to know. Or if a book is territorial, then the plot is centered around keeping their community safe.
Do NOT attempt to approach these ferocious books at home! Unless, of course, you are an experienced reader with the proper equipment.

“I Don’t Read,” He Said.

“I don’t read,” he said. Three words, simply stated, with no Continue reading
Should We Be Shamed for Reading YA?
There has been a lot of talk lately in the book community about a certain article that spoke disparagingly about adults who read YA (Young Adult) categorized books. I’m not going to link to that article because I don’t want to promote their foolishness, which I’m pretty sure was mostly hyped up just to get more readers. (Create a controversy and people will jump in to boost your viewing stats.)
I just want to talk about reading in general. What should we read? Should we be judged for reading certain things?
I recently had an experience where I was judged and insulted for stating that I did not Continue reading
