This story follows a point – a point in time, a point in space. The point starts at Zero and wishes to reach One. He stretches himself into a line, traveling along infinite space and time, trying to reach One. But the distance and time between Zero and One are infinite, so it takes a very long NOW to get there. The point that became a line now meets other points and lines on their own journeys, and eventually our hero meets the One, and discovers the true nature of reality.

I loved this interesting examination of philosophy and mathematics! There is a lot of fun word play that brings in different perspectives and meanings into the story. The design is really playful, and I loved the minimalistic illustrations and the way that words are arranged in designs on the pages. Some pages are mirror images of each other. Some pages are upside down! Every page is like a little discovery of its own.

You don’t need to know anything about philosophy or math to understand and enjoy this book. It’s very accessible and enjoyable to read!
It only took me 20 minutes to read this book, but I will be thinking about it and pondering over it for years! What a delight!
