4 out of 5 stars

Noah is depressed because his dog died. He begins to see a cat in his dreams. Mia is an orphan searching for a home. Mia’s cat leads her on a journey across the country, and eventually Noah and Mia find each other.

This is an emotional story as Noah and Mia are both searching for happiness and belonging. The writing is very sentimental and introspective.

I love the soft art style and the dreamy quality of the scenes. Every few pages there is a child-like depiction of a cat made from stone, leaves, and sticks. I’m not really sure what that is supposed to be. Maybe Mia made little drawings of her cat during her journey? Or maybe Noah made them of the cat he saw in his dreams? I don’t know how that fits into the story.
