5 out of 5 stars

This board book has English and Spanish words side by side to teach small children to identify the parts of the face and different objects. We learn about ears, nose, and eyes, chin, hair, and eyebrows, etc… We learn about spots, stripes, and all the colors. We learn the words for various toys and objects like eyeglasses and keys.

I really liked that many of the words are repeated various times, so that the child will see it over and over in order to learn that word more effectively. For instance, the word for “eyes/ojos” is repeated 14 times in different faces and contexts. We see male and female faces with eyes, a child’s eyes, a person with glasses, a duck toy with eyes, a dog, a snail, a bird, and a teddy bear all with eyes. This is so great for teaching children to recognize the word in many different applications.

The illustrations are bright with simple designs that are perfect for catching the eye of little readers. I like the beautiful artwork and striking colors!
