3 out of 5 stars

A little boy and his sister list all the things they love about Halloween. They love making costumes and getting pumpkins. They love decorating for Halloween and making crafts at school. They love trick-or-treating with their friends and bobbing for apples. They tell spooky stories and make shadow puppets. Most of all they love spending this special time of year with their family and friends!

The illustrations are really cute and I loved all the details in the background of each page! The story is so sweet as the children are grateful for everything special about the holiday.

There are two men holding hands at the Halloween party, and there is a little blonde child with short hair who might appear to be a boy wearing a princess costume.

I liked how there are many diverse characters of all ages in this book as the children and their teachers and parents celebrate Halloween together. There is also a little boy in a wheelchair with a dinosaur costume. So cute!

My favorite part of the book is that the dad helps his son and daughter to make their costumes with a sewing machine. So creative!
