by Maree McCarthy Yoelu
An Australian family have a perfect day fishing, playing at the beach, grilling out, and playing cricket! In the evening, they visit a food booth to eat traditional food. They fall asleep listening to the kookaburras laughing in the trees.
I love this beautiful board book that teaches children about different cultures around the world! At the back of the book, there are explanations about the slang words that are in a different language.
The illustrations are so cute, and all the little characters are adorable! Each page is full of color and energy!
I love the sweet and simple plot as we learn about a regular day in this country. It shows that all around the world, we are pretty similar. We all get up and brush our teeth and have breakfast with our family. It’s the lovely simple things in life that bind us together, and showcasing those similarities will help young children to relate to different cultures around the globe.
